Marmite: What the hell is wrong with this country

Surely I don’t need to explain the story. There has been so much news coverage over it in the past few days that we all must know the story by now:
Marmite stock is running out
Yes, that’s right, New Zealand is apparently facing a shortage of one brand of yeast based spread – it’s the end of the fucking world.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king

This of course seems to work on the theory that the people who are blind don't have eyes, which I can’t be 100% sure about, but I don’t total believe is correct.

Either way, I think this might apply to Jon Hamm this week, as he rightly pointed out a big problem in society - stupidity is revered! (No, I am not sure I tied the saying and what Jon Hamm did together, but read on to find out).

Live TV Taping Live Blog (Not Quite)

There is a new (ish) show on TV in New Zealand – “Would I Lie to You?
The concept of the show is pretty simple, two teams of three “compete” in telling stories and guessing if they are the truth or lies. Basically it is designed to have funny people tell interesting and amusing stories – the guessing, the points, they aren't even vaguely relevant to anything.
Essentially it is 7-days (another show on TV3), but not about news. Oh, and not as good.
